Merve Soyhan Gürcü

Merve Soyhan Gürcü, is the founding partner of Soyhan Hukuk Bürosu and provides her clients with comprehensive advisory services through her academic background in law and international experience. She graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2004; subsequently she pursued postgraduate studies in Maritime Trade Law and International Trade Law in the United Kingdom. She also obtained a master's degree in European Union Law at Marmara University European Union Institute.

During her academic work, she focused especially on the corporate governance structures of companies in the UK and Turkey; she conducted numerous comparative studies in this field. Her master's thesis on corporate governance attracted attention for approaching practices in the European Union, the UK and Turkey from a different perspective and was published by Lambert Academic Publishing in 2010.

Since 2005, Merve Soyhan Gürcü has been providing legal counsel to many domestic and foreign companies operating in Turkey and internationally in various fields, primarily International Trade Law, Company Law and Law of Obligations. Especially with the experience she gained in mergers and acquisitions, investment projects and corporate structuring processes, she offers her clients strategic and results-oriented solutions.

Within Soyhan Hukuk Bürosu, which she founded in 2017, she continues her advisory and representation activities for both local and foreign clients; she continues her work with a reliable and effective legal service approach that meets the needs of commercial life.
